Oh it's definitely the Christmas season now! Less than two weeks left! I still have loads of gifts to make, I decided that this year (nearly) everyone will get a pair of fingerless mitts or regular mittens, I must have forgotten that each person needs two! I've made the first mitt in everyones pair but that means that I still have to finish all the other ones...
Ah, I think I'll be taking a little break today to start work on my Designers Challenge! I've sketched out a basic idea, a very basic idea mind you, so no pictures today. I'll be attempting to incorporate both colorwork, texture stitches and beadwork, two techniques that I don't have much experience with, into one, cuff-down, sock, another thing I don't have much experience with. I'm not sure how I'm going to pull it off, but I'm certainly going to try! I have some really nice knit picks cotton sport to work with, maybe it will bring me good luck!
In other news, I recently test knit a sweet fingerless mitten pattern for Dena Stelly on Ravelry. They were quick and came out really nice. I have to admit that I volunteered to test these because I thought they would be great Christmas presents! The first pair, lots of pictures here on my project page, were, admittedly, for me, but I finished one more in a worsted yarn (yes, it is one of my many ones) for one of the many on my Christmas list. Here is a picture of the pair I'll be keeping for myself:

Hopefully, soon I'll have some news/progress on my socks to share with you, but this is all for now!
