The plan was to finish all of my Christmas knitting by the 18th, wrap it all up by the 20th and then start work on my designers challenge, finishing by the 31st. Well it's the 20th now and I have two presents finished and wrapped, three on the needles, two still needed to start and one that doesn't have to be finished until the 27th and hasn't been started. As you can see, I'm very behind. So a new plan will be made! And, hopefully, this will be one I can follow!
Step 1: Finish 1 hat, already started, by December 23rd.
Step 2: Finish 1 slipper, already started, by December 22nd. Finish 2nd slipper by December 23rd.
Step 3: Finish 1 Ipod sock, already started, by December 21st
Step 4: Start fingerless gloves on December 21st. Finish by December 24th.
Step 5: Start knapsack on December 23rd. Finish by December 26th.
Step 6: Start knitting Designers Challenge on December 25th. Finish ONE sock by December 31st (with good photos)
Step 1: Wrap on December 24th
Step 2: Wrap on December 24th
Step 3: Wrap on December 21st
Step 4:Wrap on December 24th
Step 5: Wrap on December 26th
Not too hard...I hope.
The hat and slippers are also designs I'm working on, so those recipients also have back-up gifts, just in case.
I'm really looking forward to working up my designers challenge piece. I've already picked out some wonderful Knit Picks DK cotton. The design is going to feature cables, a little color work, and some simple lace. I am a little worried as I've only allotted myself 11 days to finish a knee high sock. Maybe I'll change it to a mid-calf sock? Well I shouldn't be worrying about that now, I have plenty to do first! You may not hear from me for a while, but I promise to update you with lots of pictures soon!
